GOLF EQUIPMENTS
Introduction:
Golf Equipments comprises of all the important tools that are used while playing the game of golf as such balls, shafts, clubs, golf bag, gloves and golf carts. Not more than 14 Golf clubs are carried by a golf player in a particular golf match. This is for the fact that more than 14 golf clubs are prohibited, as per the golf rules and regulations. Normally, three types of golf clubs are available. These include the putters, the irons and the woods. In order to play the shots of small duration, wedges are used. These wedges are included in the irons. In case of long shots, woods are normally used. Woods are typically used when the player has to play for long shots from the fairway or the tee. In case of precision shots, irons are used. Thanks to the invention of the “hybrid” which is a new form of wood, hitting the golf ball has become much precise. The main feature of “hybrid” is the fact that it mostly combines the precision with easy to hit characteristics, normally seen in “woods”. In case of long shots from the difficult regions, “hybrid” is used. In addition, “hybrid” is also used by those players having a tough time handling the long irons.
Shafts of Golf:
Golf shafts are mostly used in between the club head and the grip. The golf shaft generally has a circular shape. It is usually thinner at the club head end as compared to the grip end. Golf shafts are mostly prepared with the help of a light and a strong material. Majority of the shafts that are used currently are made of either tampered steel or graphite, despite the fact that other materials can also be used in the manufacture of golf shafts. |
