Jack Nicklaus:
Also known by the name “Golden Bear”, Jack Nicklaus was born on the 21st of January, 1940. Jack is considered to be one amongst the greatest professional golfer in the history of the game of golf. This is mainly owing to the records, which Jack had held in most of the major golf championships. As much as 18 professional majors in the PGA tour golf tournament were accumulated by Jack Nicklaus in his career, which spanned quarter of a century. He began playing professional golf from the year 1962 and continued till the year 1986. Subsequently, Jack went on to win as much as 8 major tournaments from the year 1990 till the year 1996 in the senior version of the PGA Tour, which is the Champions Tour. These records made by Jack Nicklaus are still unbeaten till date. Apart from playing professional golf, Jack Nicklaus has also participated in many miscellaneous activities, which were directly or indirectly related to the game of golf including the golf book writing, the design of golf courses and even participating in his own tournament in the PGA tour, which is the “Memorial Tournament”. Jack, along with Gary Player and Arnold Palmer is credited into turning the game of golf into a major sport.
Arnold Palmer:
Arnold Palmer, also known as Arnold Daniel Palmer was born on the 10th of September, 1929. He is a professional golf player from the United States. Arnold is unarguably considered one of the greatest golf players in the history of professional golf tournaments. In the year 1998, Palmer was bestowed with the “PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award”. |
